Volunteer Day at Barber Park

December 10, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

caged willow

Black cottonwood trees and willows are cornerstone species along the Boise River, but the conditions aren’t right for much natural reproduction. Therefore it’s important to protect existing trees, especially young ones, so they will be there when the older trees die. Join us for a rewarding day by the Boise River in Barber Park where we’ll be caging cottonwoods and willows with wire to protect them from hungry beavers.
