March 24, 2022 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Peter Youngblood, hydrologist at the National Resources Conservation Service will be talking about snow science in the Boise River watershed. The NRCS uses a network of snow telemetry (Sno-Tel) sensors to understand our snow pack and determine how much water will be contributed to the river. Peter will talk about his field work, illustrate what snow science is, discuss what we know about snow supply for the Boise River, and what we expect from climate change.
