Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve
The City of Boise’s Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve is a hidden gem in West Boise. We need your help to make it even better!
Native plants are ready to be put in the ground. Volunteers can help with planting on
October 23rd: 9:00 am – 11:00 am and 11:30 – 1:30 pm
October 25: 11:30 – 1:30 pm
October 27: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
This former gravel pit has been improved and the ponds and wetlands are a magnet for wildlife. The upland areas in the reserve are in rough shape, but are also important to wildlife. A team of organizations, agencies and citizens have been working to improve the uplands portion of Hyatt. This is a great chance to dig in and help one of our amazing open spaces in the Boise area.
Project is suitable for ages 10 and up. We love dogs, but this is a dog-free reserve. Please leave your canine comrade at home.
The project is led by the Land Trust of the Treasure Valley, Boise River Enhancement Network, and the City of Boise. Project partners include U.S Fish and Wildlife Service, Idaho Office of Refugees by Jannus, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho, Golden Eagle Audubon Society, Intermountain Bird Observatory, Boise State University, The Wetlands Group, Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign, and Partners for Clean Water.
