DESCRIPTION:Local municipalities\, planners\, emergency managers and landowners will soon have a new\, and better\, Boise River flood risk reduction tool. The two-dimensional model being developed by Flood Control District 10 will provide information about the direction high water will take and how fast it will move\, something existing one-dimensional models can’t do. Mike Dimmick\, Flood Control District #10 Manager and Michael Shubert\, water resources engineer and hydraulic modeler with HDR\, will explain the technology and discuss the way the new tool will impact local decision making. SUMMARY:Nature Walk at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival
DESCRIPTION:We’ll walk the beautiful trails in William Shakespeare Park with rare plant specialist Michael Mancuso of Mancuso Botanical Services. Many interesting plants grow on the Idaho Shakespeare Festival grounds\, and Michael will share his wealth of knowledge. You do not have to attend the Shakespeare Festival presentation of The Music Man\, but you’ll have plenty of time to get to your seats if you do. This event is suitable for all ages. Please walk past the ticket booths and meet us to the west of the Cafe.

SUMMARY:Bird Walk at Idaho Shakespeare Festival
DESCRIPTION:We’ll walk the beautiful trails of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and discover the birds of the Barber Pool. Local bird expert Heidi Ware\, Education Director of the BSU Intermountain Bird Observatory\, . will lead the walk. The pool is home to many species of waterfowl as well as hawks\, eagles and songbirds. Limited pairs of binoculars will be available. You do not have to attend the Shakespeare Festival presentation of Witness for the Prosecution\, but you’ll have plenty of time to get to your seats if you do.\nThis event is suitable for all ages. Please walk past the ticket booths and meet us to the west of the Cafe.
