SUMMARY:Boise River Float Trip - Middleton to Caldwell
DESCRIPTION:BREN takes small groups rafting on reaches that are off the beaten path.  Participants on these trips must be prepared to drag or carry the rafts\, portage obstacles\, get in and out of the rafts frequently and be flexible on how long the trip will take. BREN supplies the rafts and safety gear and the paddle boats are guided by experienced volunteers. Donations are accepted on trip day. \nSeptember 6 – Middleton Bridge to Whittenberger Park\, Caldwell\, 8:30 am – ~1:00 pm. This reach is punctuated by irrigation diversions and return flows – the Boise River at work. We’ll float past volcanic cliffs and visit the site of the new Plymouth St Bridge. \nPlease RSVP to info@boiseriverenhancement.org by August 30 so we can plan.  Space is limited.

You’ll learn about the important role wetlands play in the ecosystem and find out what animals and plants live there. You do not have to attend the Shakespeare Festival presentation of Julius Caesar\, but you’ll have plenty of time to get to your seats if you do.This event is suitable for all ages. Please walk past the ticket windows and meet us to the west of the Cafe.\nAmerican sign language interpretation will be provided.\nThis is a free event open to everyone (but no dogs).

The pool is home to many species of waterfowl as well as hawks\, eagles and songbirds. Limited pairs of binoculars will be available.
